
Riga City Service, a subsidiary of the City Service group operating in Latvia, has commenced complex facility management services to 28 Maxima trade centres operating in the western and central part of Latvia. The total area of Maxima trade centres managed by Riga City Service is about 21 thousand sq. m.
“Our group already cooperates successfully with the Maxima network in Lithuania. So we will use this good experience in the Latvian market. Our aim is to help our clients forget about unrelated worries and to focus on its main activity”, Jonas Šimkevičius, member of the Board of Riga City Service, said.
Riga City Service specialists will manage the water-supply, sewerage, heat supply, ventilation and air conditioning, and electric power systems in Maxima trade centres. The Company will also be responsible for gate maintenance automatic doors, technological equipment and furniture as well as providing additional technical services.
As J. Šimkevičius noted, this year has been particularly successful in collaborating with leading developers of Latvian trade centres. Rimi and Baltic Property Trust became clients of Riga City Service in 2009; Riga City Service has also expanded the area of the IKI retail outlets managed in Latvia from 37 to 56 thousand sq. m. The company is currently managing 58 sites belonging to the IKI retail chain and today it is the largest trade centre project of Riga City Service in Latvia.
Riga City Service was established in 2006 and at present manages approximately 182 thousand sq. m of building area in Latvia.
